In a significant step towards modernizing law enforcement in the state, Rajasthan's top administrative and police officials conducted a special review of a pioneering police station in Jaipur. Chief Secretary V Srinivas, accompanied by Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma, paid a visit to the Mansarovar police station on Sunday to assess the implementation of modern policing practices and digital systems.
Showcasing Technology-Driven Policing Initiatives
During the inspection, officers at the Mansarovar station provided a comprehensive briefing on various technology-driven initiatives that have been put into practice. The demonstration highlighted key digital tools designed to enhance efficiency and public service. These included systems for e-FIR registration, e-evidence management, and e-summons. Special focus was also given to app-based monitoring mechanisms specifically targeting cybercrime and crimes against women. The officials were shown how these digital solutions have been instrumental in improving critical areas such as response time, record management, and overall service delivery to citizens.
Declared a 'Model Police Station' for the State
Following the detailed inspection and demonstrations, Chief Secretary V Srinivas made a notable announcement. He formally termed the Mansarovar police station as Rajasthan's first fully digital "model police station." Srinivas emphasized that the effective integration of technology has substantially strengthened transparency, operational efficiency, and citizen-centric policing at the facility. He stated that such pioneering initiatives are in perfect alignment with the state government's broader agenda to modernize governance across all departments.
Leadership Commended and Vision for State-Wide Replication
In recognition of the efforts behind this digital transformation, Srinivas congratulated the leadership of the Rajasthan Police. He specifically acknowledged Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal and Inspector General Rahul Prakash for their role in driving these crucial digital reforms. The visit concluded on a collaborative note, with the Chief Secretary sharing a meal at the police mess. Expressing his satisfaction and hope for the future, Srinivas stated his desire that the successful "Mansarovar model" of digital policing be studied and replicated across police stations throughout the state of Rajasthan.
