A 28-year-old mason named Montidas sustained severe injuries following a brutal stabbing incident at a construction site in Hingna, Nagpur. The accused, identified as Deepak Kolhe (23), a resident of Hingna, has been arrested by the Hingna police on charges of attempted murder.
Incident Details
According to a complaint filed by Laxmi Das Manikpuri (35), a construction contractor originally from Chhattisgarh currently residing in Hingna, the altercation began when Kolhe verbally abused a truck driver who was unloading bricks at the site. When Montidas intervened to pacify the situation, Kolhe threatened him with dire consequences.
Attack and Aftermath
Later that same day, Kolhe returned to the construction site in his car. He allegedly attacked Montidas, stabbing him multiple times before fleeing the scene. The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment. His condition is reported to be serious but stable.
The Hingna police acted swiftly and apprehended the accused, Deepak Kolhe. He has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for attempted murder. Further investigations are underway to ascertain the exact motive behind the attack.
