Massive Fire Engulfs Bhilwara Uniform Factory Warehouse, Six Fire Tenders Deployed
A significant fire incident occurred on Monday evening in Bhilwara city, Rajasthan, when a massive blaze broke out in a warehouse belonging to a factory that manufactures school uniforms. The incident took place in the RIICO Phase-3 area, under the jurisdiction of the Pratap Nagar police station.
Firefighting Efforts and Response
In response to the emergency, the Bhilwara Municipal Corporation swiftly deployed six fire brigade vehicles to the scene. According to Bhilwara SP Dharmendra Singh, the fire was so intense that flames and smoke were visible from a considerable distance. He confirmed that the cloth stored in the warehouse was completely reduced to ashes due to the severity of the blaze.
Bhilwara City DSP Sajjan Singh provided further details, stating that police personnel from Pratap Nagar and Gandhi Nagar police stations arrived promptly at the location. In addition to the municipal fire tenders, firefighting vehicles from private textile factories in the area also joined the efforts to combat the fire.
The fire was successfully extinguished, but due to the nature of the materials involved, smouldering persisted in the textile warehouse. Authorities assured that the situation would be brought under control soon.
Investigation and Safety Measures
Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire, as confirmed by SP Dharmendra Singh. Fortunately, there were no reports of any loss of life in the incident, which DSP Sajjan Singh highlighted as a positive outcome amidst the destruction.
To facilitate the firefighting operations and ensure public safety, traffic was diverted and movement was restricted in the textile industry area while efforts were underway. This measure helped prevent any additional incidents and allowed emergency responders to work efficiently.
The incident underscores the challenges of managing fires in industrial settings, particularly in warehouses storing flammable materials like textiles. The coordinated response from municipal and private entities played a crucial role in containing the blaze and preventing casualties.
