Professor Dies by Suicide at Jaipur Home
A 58-year-old senior professor at Sawai Man Singh Medical College allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Jaipur on Wednesday, police said. The incident occurred in the Jhotwara area, where NL Disania reportedly hanged himself from a hook on a tin shed after going upstairs.
Details of the Incident
Disania's son discovered him and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The body has been sent to the SMS hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination, according to police officials.
Disania was a senior professor at the medical college and an expert in forensic medicine. Assistant Sub Inspector Ram Singh of Jhotwara police station confirmed that no suicide note was recovered and the reasons for the suicide remain unclear.
Investigation Underway
“The matter is being investigated,” Singh said. Police are probing possible motives behind the tragic death. No further details have been released at this time.
