A 22-year-old medicine shop salesman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Lower Bazar on Monday. The deceased, identified as Anish Kumar, a native of Patratu, had been residing at his employer's residence in the area.
Discovery of the Body
According to police officials, Anish Kumar was found hanging from a ceiling fan after his employer alerted the authorities when he failed to open the door. The employer grew concerned after repeated attempts to contact him went unanswered.
Police Investigation
Station in-charge Law Kumar Singh stated, "Prima facie the case appears to be a suicide. We have recovered a diary from the room which may provide further insights into the circumstances leading to his death." The police have registered a case and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and forensic experts are examining the scene for any evidence that might shed light on the incident. Authorities are also questioning the employer and other acquaintances to piece together the events preceding the tragedy.
