A migrant worker was found dead with his throat slit in the fields of Shera village in Panipat district, Haryana, on Tuesday morning. The victim, identified as 35-year-old Rameshwar, a native of Uttar Pradesh, had been working as a laborer in the area for the past few months. His body was discovered by local farmers around 6 a.m., lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut on his neck.
Police Investigation Underway
Panipat police reached the spot after being informed and have sent the body for postmortem. Preliminary investigations suggest that the murder might have occurred late Monday night. Police suspect that the motive could be robbery, as the victim's mobile phone and some cash were missing from his pocket. However, no arrests have been made so far.

Authorities are scanning the area for any eyewitnesses or CCTV footage that might provide clues about the assailants. The victim's family has been informed, and they are expected to arrive in Panipat for the autopsy. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and are investigating the matter from all angles.
