Minor Boy Arrested for Killing Father in Alwar

Alwar: A minor boy was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly killing his father by slitting his throat with a sharp-edged weapon while he was asleep in Ramkripal Nagar under the Aravali Vihar police station area in Alwar district. The deceased was identified as Rohitashv Kumar, a resident of Maluki village in Deeg district, who worked as an e-rickshaw driver in Alwar. Following a complaint lodged by his brother-in-law, Kalu, police detained the minor son.

Details of the Incident

Station House Officer (SHO) Rameshwar Dayal said police received information around 10:30 pm that a man was lying dead in a rented house. On reaching the spot, officers found Kumar in a pool of blood and confirmed he was killed with a sharp-edged weapon. Police said the victim’s neck bore six wounds. His blood-soaked body was found on a bed with the weapon lying nearby.

According to Kalu, only Kumar and his son were at home at the time of the incident, as the victim’s wife had gone to her parental home for her brother’s wedding. He said the boy called him late at night and said, “Uncle, come home and save papa.” When he arrived, he found Rohitashv with his throat slit.
