New Delhi: Delhi Police has apprehended a minor accused of setting a vehicle ablaze after its owner refused to lend it to him in northwest Delhi's Adarsh Nagar. According to police, the boy was also allegedly brandishing weapons on social media in an attempt to create fear and assert criminal dominance in the area.

Social Media Monitoring Led to Arrest

Police reported that during routine social media monitoring, they noticed a minor boy openly brandishing firearms and glorifying criminal activities through posts, videos, and status updates on various social media platforms. His actions were aimed at instilling fear and projecting criminal dominance among local youths and residents. He was subsequently apprehended by the authorities.

During questioning, the teenager admitted that his activities were intended to create fear among local residents and establish his dominance among youths and anti-social elements in the area.

Involvement in Arson Case

The minor was wanted in an arson case where he and his associates are accused of setting a man's motorcycle on fire after the victim allegedly refused to lend them the vehicle to purchase alcohol. Police also noted that the boy had a tattoo related to crime.

Previous Criminal Record

Further verification revealed that the juvenile had previously been involved in five criminal cases, including snatching, assault, mischief by fire, theft, and attempt to murder. This history reflects his continued inclination towards criminal activities at a young age.
