In a shocking incident from Ludhiana's Dhandra Road area, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a neighbour. When her family went to the suspect's house to confront him, they were attacked with bricks and stones, resulting in injuries.
Family's Complaint
According to the complaint filed at the Sadar police station, the victim's father stated that a few weeks ago, when his daughter was alone at home, a youth from the neighbourhood forcibly entered the house, threatened her, and raped her. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim remained silent for several days due to fear and trauma before gathering the courage to inform her family.
Attack on Family
After learning of the incident, the victim's family members went to the suspect's house to confront him. It is alleged that the suspect and his family members became furious and attacked them with bricks and stones, causing injuries. The injured family members subsequently received medical treatment at a hospital.
Police Action
Following an investigation, the police have filed a case against the suspects, who are residents of the Dhandra Road area. Further investigations are underway.
