Ghaziabad Minor Trapped in Clinic Shutter During Alleged Theft Attempt

A tense rescue operation unfolded in Ghaziabad's Indirapuram area on Saturday when a minor boy became trapped in a narrow gap between a shutter and a wall while allegedly attempting to steal from a local clinic. The dramatic incident required coordinated efforts from police and fire department officials to safely extricate the trapped youth.

Discovery of the Trapped Boy

The situation came to light around 11am when staff members arrived at the clinic located in Abhay Khand locality under Indirapuram police station limits. The clinic belongs to Delhi-based cardiologist Dr Pawan Sharma, who typically visits the facility only two or three times weekly, leaving the premises closed on other days.

Upon attempting to lift the shutter after unlocking it, the staff encountered unusual resistance. As they tried to force it open, they began hearing faint groaning sounds from inside the clinic. Initially suspecting an animal might be trapped, the staff immediately alerted a nearby practitioner, Dr Namit, and informed local police authorities.

Critical Rescue Operation

Dr Sharma was summoned to the scene and arrived promptly. When staff accessed the clinic through the rear entrance, they discovered the shocking scene: a minor boy in a critical position with his torso inside the clinic while his head remained tightly wedged between the shutter and adjacent wall.

Video footage from the scene showed the boy completely immobilized in the tight space. After initial rescue attempts by clinic staff and police proved unsuccessful, authorities called in the fire department for specialized assistance. Firefighters reached the location around 1:15pm and conducted a careful rescue operation using specialized tools, eventually managing to safely extricate the boy from his precarious position.

Injuries and Investigation

The minor sustained significant injuries during the ordeal, including substantial scraping on one side of his face. Rescue personnel immediately administered first aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Medical officials confirmed the boy's condition has stabilized following treatment.

Preliminary police investigation suggests the boy may have attempted to break into the clinic during nighttime hours and became trapped in the process. Officers are continuing their inquiry to determine the exact sequence of events and circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police officials emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing as they work to establish the complete timeline of events leading to the boy becoming trapped. The clinic's security arrangements and the exact method of entry are being examined as part of the comprehensive inquiry.
