Decomposed Body of Missing Youth Found in Jharsuguda Forest
In a grim discovery, the decomposed body of a youth was recovered from a forest area near Kukrikani under the jurisdiction of Brajrajnagar police station in Jharsuguda district on Thursday. The body was found wrapped in a plastic sheet with hands and legs tied, indicating foul play.

Police officials suspect that the youth was murdered and his body was subsequently dumped in the forest. The deceased has been identified as Sahil Sahis, a 19-year-old resident of Rampur Bugudapada. Addressing the media, SP Raghavendra revealed that a missing person complaint had been lodged by the victim's father, Satyanarayan Sahis, which initiated the search efforts. "On Thursday, we received information about a body lying in Kukrikani forest. The deceased was identified by his father. He has alleged that his son was murdered by his friends," the SP stated.
Based on these allegations and preliminary findings, an FIR has been registered in connection with the case. Police have detained three suspects for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation into the suspected murder.
