At the scene of the seizure, two individuals were immediately apprehended. They have been identified as Jakaria Hussain (28), a resident of Dholcherra in Karimganj district, Assam, and Taj Uddin (25), from Nagharia in the same district. Their arrest provided crucial leads for further investigation.
Expanded Investigation Leads to Additional Arrests
Building on the initial breakthrough, the excise and narcotics department extended its probe, resulting in the arrest of three more suspects. One of the key figures detained is Lalnunziri (38), who claims to be from Khawmawi in Myanmar.
