A serene Sunday morning in Ganjam district turned tragic when a collision between a motorcycle and an elderly pedestrian claimed two lives. The incident occurred near Khajapalli village, leaving the local community in shock.

Victims Identified in Fatal Collision

The deceased have been identified as Kasinath Sethi, 70, from Salabana village, and Mitu Parida, 37, from Ranipada. Parida, a stage artist, was returning to his village on his motorcycle after performing in a play at Usthali village when the accident happened.

According to sources, Parida's vehicle struck Sethi, who was on his regular morning walk. The impact of the collision proved fatal for both individuals involved.

Following the accident, both men were rushed to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Parida was taken to Polasara hospital, while Sethi was transported to Kodala hospital.
