The family had stopped their motorcycle under a tree to seek shelter from the rain. According to officials, the child, identified as Shadab, expressed a desire for chips. In response, the father, 38-year-old Rashid Ahmed, left his wife Gulnaz Begum and son under the tree while he went to a nearby shop to purchase the snack.
Tragically, during his brief absence, a speeding vehicle struck both Gulnaz and Shadab. The impact was immediate and severe, with Gulnaz succumbing to her injuries at the scene. Young Shadab was initially rushed to a district hospital but was later referred to Meerut for advanced medical treatment. Regrettably, the child passed away during the journey to the referral hospital.
