Aham's body was recovered on Monday from the Andaramunda canal, located within the limits of the Kotpad police station. In a disturbing detail, police reported that his body was found stuffed inside a sack. The following day, on Tuesday morning, acting on information from local residents, police and fire service personnel recovered Anushka's body from the Jayantigiri main canal under the Borigumma police station limits. Her body was also discovered packed in a sack, indicating a possible link between the two deaths.
The disappearance was first reported by Anushka's brother, Satyaban Patra, who lodged a formal complaint at the Borigumma police station after his sister and nephew went missing. The police have since launched a thorough investigation into the case.
