The incident occurred on Tuesday night when roommates Raju Paswan and Santosh Kumar Chaudhary engaged in a violent confrontation over who would prepare their evening meal. According to police reports, the dispute intensified when Chaudhary allegedly attacked Paswan with a knife, inflicting severe injuries.
What Sparked the Deadly Confrontation?
Investigations reveal that the argument began when Paswan insisted that their domestic helper should cook dinner for both of them. Chaudhary, however, strongly objected to this arrangement, leading to a heated exchange that quickly turned physical.
"The argument started around dinner time when Paswan wanted the servant to cook for them," a police official stated. "Chaudhary opposed this, and within minutes, their verbal spat turned violent."

After sustaining critical stab wounds, Raju Paswan was rushed to Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital in Sion. Despite medical efforts, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Mumbai Police have registered a case of murder against Santosh Kumar Chaudhary, who remains at large. Authorities have launched a massive manhunt to apprehend the accused.
