According to police reports, a religious procession was organized by a group in the Santosh Nagar area of Goregaon East. The event featured a sound system and drinking water stalls, which became the center of a heated argument. The dispute escalated when the sound system was allegedly vandalized, sparking a physical confrontation between the groups involved.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene as individuals attacked each other with sticks, resulting in multiple injuries. Among the three seriously wounded was a 12-year-old boy, highlighting the severity of the violence. Many others sustained injuries during the altercation, though specific numbers were not disclosed by authorities.
Police Intervention and Arrests
