The Dahisar police have registered an FIR against a local politician following allegations of rape by a 23-year-old woman employed at a bar in Borivli. The woman also accused him of sexually exploiting minors who are forced to work at bars. The FIR names seven other accused, including bar owners and staff.

Complaint Details

In her complaint, the woman stated that she is an MBA student from Madhya Pradesh and moved to Mumbai seeking better employment opportunities. She claimed that the politician saw her dancing at a bar, where she had gone after being told it was an event gig. He allegedly offered her a job at a chartered accountant’s office and later called her to Sanjay Gandhi National Park. There, he purportedly drugged her in his car and filmed her in the nude.

The woman further alleged that on subsequent occasions, he forced her into intimacy under the pretext of marrying her. She also listed violations committed by bars in north Mumbai, including the presence of minor girls and the deduction of 40% of their earnings by bar owners.

Police Investigation

As of now, the police have not made any arrests in connection with the case. The investigation is ongoing.
