Nagpur: A six-month-old girl and a 30-year-old man sustained injuries after two cars collided head-on on the Sadar flyover on Monday afternoon. The incident took place around 4:30 pm when one vehicle attempted to overtake another, leading to a chain reaction crash.
Details of the Accident
The injured individuals have been identified as Saisha Bokde, a six-month-old infant from Pawani, and Akash Gajbhiye, a 30-year-old man. Both are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Saisha was traveling with her parents and Gajbhiye in a car that was moving from Koradi towards Samvidhan Chowk. According to police reports, another car coming from the opposite direction attempted to overtake and collided head-on with their vehicle. The impact caused a third car to hit them from behind.
Police Response and Traffic Disruption
The accident caused significant traffic disruption on the flyover for some time. Personnel from the Sadar police station and traffic police promptly arrived at the scene. They cleared the damaged vehicles and restored normal traffic flow. A case has been registered in connection with the incident, and further investigations are underway.
