A shocking incident of alleged molestation and intimidation by a notorious criminal has sent shockwaves through Nagpur. A goon and online bookie, known by the alias 'Boma', is accused of molesting a female singer and brandishing a firearm at a bar located in the MIDC area.
Criminal Past and Barroom Assault
Boma, a seasoned criminal with a history in cricket betting and illegal gambling operations, arrived at the bar with his associates. According to reports, the situation escalated when he allegedly molested the female singer present at the venue. The terrified woman, along with her companions, attempted to flee the premises to escape the harassment.
However, Boma and his group reportedly chased after them. In a brazen act of intimidation, Boma is alleged to have pulled out a firearm, waving it around and threatening to kill anyone who dared to intervene. The chaos that followed allowed Boma and his aides to flee the scene, leaving the bar in a state of disarray.
Wealth, Protection, and Police Probe
The accused individual is said to have amassed significant wealth through his extensive betting rackets. He has also gained notoriety for evading police action, which sources attribute to alleged protection from certain officers and political connections. This latest incident has caused considerable uproar within the Nagpur Police force.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rahul Maknikar confirmed that an inquiry is being conducted by the crime branch. "The CCTV footage has been deleted, and the bar owner is denying involvement," stated Maknikar, highlighting initial hurdles in the investigation.
Investigation Challenges and Public Outcry
DCP Maknikar provided further details, saying, "The accused allegedly brandished a firearm and dragged the woman singer onto the road. We are verifying all facts and, if proven true, will take strict action against him." His team has visited Boma's residence for investigation, and another associate has been summoned for questioning.
As part of the widening probe, police have also questioned other gangsters associated with Boma's network. Despite these efforts, Boma remains on the run, fueling public anger and mounting demands for stringent action against him and his entire criminal operation. The case continues to develop as authorities work to piece together the events of that night.
