Nagpur Man Arrested for Alleged Rape of 9-Year-Old Girl at Flour Mill
A 52-year-old man has been arrested in Nagpur for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl at his flour mill on the outskirts of the city. The disturbing incident took place on March 19, when the minor was playing with a friend as her school was closed for the Gudi Padwa holiday.

According to police reports, the accused, identified as Sura Rode, allegedly lured the survivor with money while she was returning home. He then took her to his flour mill, where he is accused of committing the rape. The girl is the daughter of a 28-year-old woman, who immediately lodged a formal complaint at the Pardi police station upon learning of the incident.
Police Action and Legal Proceedings
On the basis of the complaint, Police Sub-Inspector Sachin Jadhav registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused. The FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. Pardi police launched an immediate search operation, which led to the swift arrest of Sura Rode.
