In a shocking incident that highlights the dangers of relationship disputes turning violent, Ganeshpeth police in Nagpur have arrested three individuals including a 21-year-old woman for the alleged murder of her former partner. The tragic event unfolded on Tuesday night near Gadikhana Maidan, leaving one young man dead and three others facing serious criminal charges.

The Accused and Victim

Police identified the main suspects as Tejaswini Kamble (21), her current boyfriend Amit Shivarkar (24), and their mutual friend Hemant Bagde (25). The victim, Aman Meshram (24), was Tejaswini's former partner until she ended their relationship approximately two months ago.

According to investigators, the trouble began when Tejaswini developed romantic interest in Shivarkar, whom she met through Bagde and his girlfriend. The situation escalated as Meshram grew increasingly jealous of their growing closeness, creating tension that would ultimately lead to tragedy.

The Fatal Meeting

The confrontation that turned deadly occurred between 9 pm and 9:30 pm on Tuesday when Tejaswini called Meshram to meet near Gadikhana Maidan under the limits of Ganeshpeth police station. Police reports indicate that she claimed the meeting was intended to resolve their ongoing tensions.

However, Tejaswini did not come alone. She was accompanied by both Shivarkar and Bagde to what was supposed to be a private discussion. During the meeting, an argument broke out between the former couple, with Tejaswini allegedly hurling abuses at Meshram.

As the exchange grew more heated, the situation turned violent. Shivarkar allegedly stabbed Meshram with a knife, inflicting severe injuries that would prove fatal.

Immediate Aftermath and Arrests

After the stabbing, Meshram was rushed to Govt Medical College and Hospital for emergency treatment. Unfortunately, medical staff declared him dead upon arrival, unable to save him from his severe wounds.

Ganeshpeth police acted swiftly, registering a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita including:

  • Section 103(1) for murder
  • Section 352 for assault
  • Section 3(5) for joint criminal liability

Within hours of the incident, police arrested all three accused individuals - Tejaswini, Shivarkar, and Bagde.
