Nagpur: In a tragic case of alleged dowry-related harassment, a 28-year-old woman, Ankita Dangse, died by suicide at her residence in Ambika Layout in Hudkeshwar Khurd on June 4. According to the complaint filed by her father, Sunil Pedulwar, Ankita was subjected to continuous mental and physical torture by her husband, Nitin Dangse, 34, and mother-in-law Parvatibai, 60, since her marriage. Unable to bear the alleged cruelty, she hanged herself. Hudkeshwar Police registered a case under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against both accused. Nitin was arrested, while further investigation is underway.
