In a disturbing incident in Nagpur, a 24-year-old woman was drugged, repeatedly raped, and forcibly converted to Islam by a former acquaintance and his accomplices. The victim, a property dealer and wife of an armed forces personnel stationed outside Nagpur, was targeted by Ayyaz Taj Madare, a former school acquaintance, along with his associates Ameen Shaikh and Hazrat Maulana.
Modus Operandi
According to police reports, Madare lured the victim to a hotel meeting where he spiked her drink. After she became unconscious, he recorded compromising videos and subjected her to repeated sexual assault. Over time, he extorted Rs 4 lakh from her by threatening to release the videos.
Forced Conversion and Marriage
The victim was taken to Madhya Pradesh, where she was allegedly forced to convert to Islam and marry Madare. The conversion and marriage rituals were performed by Hazrat Maulana. The woman initially did not report the assault due to fear but later informed her husband, leading to the filing of a police case.
Arrests and Investigation
Two of the accused, Madare and Shaikh, have been arrested. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities searching for the third accused, Hazrat Maulana. The incident, which occurred in 2025, highlights the dangers of trust betrayal and the need for strict action against such heinous crimes.
