The accused, identified as Nivas Kumar, reportedly entered the girl's house on Thursday evening while she was alone. Her parents were away at the farmfield, engaged in wheat harvesting work. Upon returning late in the evening, the parents discovered their daughter in a state of distress with Nivas present inside the home.
The situation escalated when the accused allegedly brandished a pistol and issued threats to the family, warning them against reporting the incident to the police before fleeing the scene. The girl's father assured her that a First Information Report (FIR) would be filed against Nivas on Friday morning, hoping to provide some comfort in the aftermath of the traumatic event.
Discovery of the Tragedy
However, when the parents returned from the fields around 9 am on Friday to complete pending tasks, they found their daughter hanging inside her room.
