Gruesome Murder Rocks Nashik's Bolhegaon Area
The Ahilyanagar police in Nashik have made significant progress in a shocking homicide case, arresting two adult women and detaining two minor girls for the alleged murder of a 40-year-old woman. The incident, which has sent ripples of fear through the local community, occurred in the Bolhegaon area.
Victim Found with Fatal Injuries
The victim has been identified as Manisha Shinde. Her lifeless body was discovered inside her residence on Friday night with severe wounds inflicted by a sharp weapon. According to police reports, the fatal attack took place on December 12 at the family home in Kaustubh Colony on Bharat Bakery Road.
At the time of the crime, Manisha was alone. Her husband, Balasaheb Shinde, and their son were away attending a wedding ceremony. The assailants reportedly gained entry into the house and killed her by slashing her throat before escaping from the scene.
How the Crime Was Uncovered
The murder came to light later in the evening when Balasaheb Shinde grew increasingly anxious after his wife failed to answer his repeated phone calls. Unable to return immediately, he contacted neighbors and requested they check on his home.
Upon entering the house, the neighbors made the grim discovery of Manisha's body and promptly alerted the police authorities. A team from the Local Crime Branch (LCB) swiftly launched an investigation into the targeted attack.
Police Investigation and Arrests
Inspector Kiran Kabadi of the Local Crime Branch (LCB) stated that during the investigation, crucial information was received leading to the identification of the suspects. The police have arrested 20-year-old Divya Deshmukh, also known as Divya Vijay Khade, from the same area. Her associate, 22-year-old Anjum alias Mehak Ahmed Saifi, has also been taken into custody.
Alongside these two women, two minor girls have been detained in connection with the crime. The police are currently interrogating all four suspects to ascertain the precise motive behind this brutal killing. The questioning aims to uncover any personal disputes or other reasons that led to such a violent act against Manisha Shinde.
The case remains under active investigation as authorities work to piece together the complete sequence of events and establish a clear motive for the murder that has left a family devastated and a neighborhood in shock.
