Navi Mumbai Police Probe Pastor's Misleading Claims

The Maharashtra Director General of Police (DGP), Sadanand Date, has directed the Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner, Milind Bharambe, to submit a report regarding a complaint against pastor Vishal Moreshwar. The complaint accuses Moreshwar of making misleading statements in a video.

Details of the Complaint

The complaint was filed on March 8 by BJP activist and advocate Sanjay Singh. According to the complaint, in the video, Moreshwar claimed that he has visited 79 countries and conducted 40,000 Gospel meetings. He further asserted that he is the only person granted the privilege to share the Gospel in the White House, the Pentagon, and the US Senate. Additionally, he claimed that on September 23, 2024, he attended a meeting in New York alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which appears to be another false statement.

A similar complaint was emailed on March 14 by Azim Khan, Vice-president of the BJP's Minorities Morcha in Thane City.
