NCRB Boosts Police Tech Skills in Jaipur Workshop for Crime Tracking
NCRB Trains Rajasthan Police in Digital Crime Tools

In a significant move to modernize law enforcement capabilities, the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) organized a comprehensive digital training session for police field units across Rajasthan on Tuesday. The initiative, held in Jaipur, aimed to equip officers with cutting-edge technological tools and updated legal knowledge to enhance both the speed and effectiveness of criminal investigations.

Leadership and Participation

The workshop was conducted under the guidance of DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma and ADG (Crime) Hawa Singh Ghumaria, demonstrating the police department's commitment to technological advancement. The training session was led by NCRB Deputy Director (IG) Janmejay Khanduri and his technical team who joined from New Delhi to impart crucial digital skills.

Participation spanned across multiple ranks of the police hierarchy, including District SPs, DCPs, additional SPs, circle officers, SHOs, and CCTNS operators. Officers from the Police Headquarters also actively engaged in the learning session, highlighting the widespread importance placed on this technological upgrade.

Digital Tools and Applications

During the intensive workshop, NCRB experts introduced participants to several new applications, dashboards, and digital platforms specifically designed to streamline daily policing operations. These technological solutions are expected to revolutionize how officers handle criminal cases by providing faster access to critical information.

The newly introduced tools will enable police personnel to track wanted criminals more efficiently, access historical criminal records seamlessly, and strengthen investigations into crimes against women. Trainers emphasized that the updated technology would significantly improve field units' ability to extract, analyze, and utilize detailed criminal information during active investigations.

Expected Impact on Policing

SCRB IG Ajaypal Lamba expressed confidence that the new systems would dramatically improve casework efficiency and provide frontline officers with quicker access to crucial data. This technological empowerment is expected to reduce investigation timelines while improving accuracy in criminal tracking and evidence collection.

The training represents a crucial step in the digital transformation of Rajasthan's police force, aligning with national efforts to leverage technology for better law enforcement outcomes. The integration of these digital tools is anticipated to create a more responsive and data-driven approach to crime prevention and investigation across the state.
