Hyderabad Police Apprehend Two Nepali Nationals in High-Value Jewelry Theft Case
In a significant development, the Jubilee Hills police in Hyderabad have arrested two Nepali nationals for their alleged involvement in a sophisticated theft at their employer's residence. The incident, which occurred on the night of February 5, resulted in the loss of gold and diamond jewelry valued at approximately Rs 1.3 crore.
Details of the Elaborate Heist
According to police officials, the theft was meticulously planned by the prime accused, Jiban Chand, who remains at large. Jiban Chand orchestrated the crime by arranging for one of his associates to secure employment as a maid at the victim's house located in Nandagiri Hills, Jubilee Hills. This strategic placement allowed the perpetrators to gain insider access to the property.
While the homeowner and his family were away, the maid facilitated the entry of two accomplices into the residence. To ensure their operation went undetected, the accused administered a sedative to the other staff members present in the house. This enabled them to carry out the theft without any immediate resistance or alarm.
Police Investigation and Arrests
Following the theft, the Jubilee Hills police launched an intensive investigation based on gathered intelligence about the suspects. Their efforts led to the tracing and interception of two individuals at the Indo-Nepal border.

Both Nepali nationals were apprehended in connection with the crime. To aid in the identification and capture of the suspects, the Jubilee Hills police shared photographs with the paramilitary forces stationed at the border, enhancing coordination for a successful interception.
