Acting on a tip-off regarding alleged arms smuggling, the sleuths, with assistance from local police, raided a residential premises located at Nandi Nagar near Nandan Pahar under the Town Police Station limits. One suspect, who was living in a relative's house, was detained. Another youth was picked up from near Bhurbhura More, sources confirmed.

Background of the Detained Suspects

One of the detained suspects hails from Ara in Bihar. His father is reportedly employed as a driver with a private school in Deoghar and resides in the Chitolodhiya area under the Kunda police station.

Deoghar Superintendent of Police (SP) Praveen Pushkar stated, “The district police assisted the agencies in the raids. Two individuals have been detained for questioning.”
