A tragic road accident in Noida has claimed the life of an e-rickshaw driver, with police confirming that one of the four individuals injured in a collision between a Mahindra Thar and an e-rickshaw earlier this week has succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The accident took place when the four victims—all residents of Barola village and employed as e-rickshaw drivers—were traveling in their three-wheeler. The impact left the e-rickshaw severely mangled, while the SUV sustained front-end damage and lost a wheel.
Police and bystanders promptly rushed the injured individuals—identified as Rakesh, Rajesh, Anoop, and Omprakash—to a nearby hospital. Omprakash, who suffered extensive injuries to his head, arms, legs, and abdomen, underwent surgery on Tuesday. Despite medical efforts, his condition deteriorated, and he passed away on Wednesday. The other three victims have shown signs of improvement and remain under medical care.
