Woman Dies by Suicide in Noida Hotel Room, Lover Detained for Questioning

In a tragic incident in Noida, a young woman allegedly died by suicide in a hotel room located in Sector 19 on Tuesday. The police have confirmed that the woman, identified as Komal, aged 20 and a resident of Faridabad's Sector 20, had checked into the hotel with her lover, Sumit. Following the discovery of her body, Sumit was promptly detained by authorities for detailed questioning regarding the circumstances surrounding her death.

Details of the Incident and Police Investigation

According to police statements, Sumit informed the investigators that he and Komal had been in a relationship for some time. He recounted that an argument ensued between them, after which Komal appeared visibly distressed. Sumit claimed that he had retreated to the bathroom, and upon returning, he found Komal unresponsive. He immediately alerted the hotel staff, who subsequently informed the police about the situation.

While no suicide note was recovered from the scene, the police have initiated a thorough probe into the matter. During the investigation, it was revealed that Sumit is already married, adding a complex layer to the case. The authorities are examining all angles to determine the exact sequence of events and any potential foul play.

Separate Suspicious Death at Noida De-addiction Centre

In an unrelated but equally concerning development, a man died under suspicious circumstances at a de-addiction centre in Sector 70, Noida. The deceased, identified as Raja, was a resident of Kherli Hafizpur village in Dankaur and had been admitted to the centre approximately seven months ago.

On Tuesday, Raja's health reportedly deteriorated suddenly, prompting staff to rush him to the district hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. An officer from the Noida Phase-III police station stated that a post-mortem examination is currently being conducted to ascertain the cause of death. Further legal action will be pursued if the deceased's family files a formal complaint based on the findings of the autopsy report.

Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding safety and oversight in various facilities within the region. The police are urging the public to come forward with any relevant information that could aid in these investigations.
