Noida Wedding Attacked Over Parking Dispute, Many Injured

A wedding procession in Noida's Jalpura village was violently attacked by a group of individuals on Wednesday night following a dispute over parking, resulting in multiple injuries and damage to several vehicles.

Incident Details

According to police reports, the wedding party had arrived from Kondli village. The altercation began when Yogendra Kumar, a guest from Surajpur village, parked his car near the wedding venue. Local residents objected to the parking, leading to a heated argument that quickly escalated into violence.

Yogendra alleged that a group of villagers started abusing the wedding party before physically attacking them with sticks, rods, and bricks. Several members of the baraat (wedding procession) sustained injuries, including serious head wounds. Yogendra himself suffered a leg injury, while his son was struck on the head. The attackers also smashed vehicle windows and reportedly attempted to snatch gold chains from guests during the chaos.

Police Response and Investigation

Police teams arrived at the scene after receiving alerts, but the accused had already fled. Based on a complaint filed by a man named Deepak, the Ecotech-3 police registered a case against 12 named individuals: Yaseen, Yusuf, Vakil, Arif, Nadeem, Alam, Junaid, Majid, Saddam, Firoz, Kalu, and Shoaib, along with several unidentified persons. The charges include assault and property damage.

Four suspects have been taken into custody. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) RK Gautam stated that authorities are reviewing evidence and eyewitness accounts to reconstruct the sequence of events.

Ongoing Investigation

The police are continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend all those involved. Officials have assured that strict action will be taken against the perpetrators. The injured are receiving medical treatment, and their conditions are reported to be stable.
