A 31-year-old woman from Noida was discovered hanging at her husband's residence in Bhopal, as reported by news agency PTI. The deceased, identified as Tvisha Sharma, was the daughter-in-law of a retired judge. The incident occurred in the Katara Hills area on Tuesday night.
Details of the Incident
According to police, Tvisha met Bhopal-based lawyer Samarth Singh through a dating application in 2024. The couple subsequently married in December 2025. Katara Hills police station in-charge Sunil Kumar Dubey told PTI that the matter is under investigation. He stated that the woman's maternal family has leveled accusations of murder against her in-laws.
Police reported that Tvisha was found hanging in her matrimonial home. Her husband and mother-in-law rushed her to a hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. Authorities received information about the incident from the hospital around 11 pm.
Family's Allegations
Tvisha's maternal family claimed that she was in telephonic contact with them until 10 pm on Tuesday and expressed a desire to leave Bhopal and return to Noida, police said. The family has alleged foul play.
Investigation Underway
No suicide note was recovered from the scene, according to police. The investigation has been handed over to Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajnish Singh, officials confirmed. The case is being thoroughly examined to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
