Noida Workers' Protest Escalates into Violent Clashes, Over 300 Arrested
In a significant development in the National Capital Region (NCR), a workers' protest in Noida has taken a violent turn, leading to the arrest of more than 300 individuals. The situation has prompted a robust response from law enforcement agencies, with seven First Information Reports (FIRs) registered in connection with the unrest.
Police Deploy Route Marches to Maintain Control
Since early morning, police forces have been conducting continuous route marches across affected areas in Noida. This strategic move aims to keep the volatile situation under tight control and ensure the maintenance of law and order. Authorities are on high alert to prevent any further escalation of violence.
Organized Network Suspected Behind Protest Mobilization
The Police Commissioner has revealed a concerning detail: in the last two days, several WhatsApp groups were created using QR codes specifically to mobilize workers for the protest. This method suggests the possible involvement of an organized network orchestrating the demonstrations from behind the scenes.
"The use of QR codes to quickly form WhatsApp groups indicates a coordinated effort," the Commissioner stated. "We are investigating this as a sign of an organized network that may be fueling the unrest."
Identification and Arrest of Key Inciters
Police have successfully identified and arrested individuals accused of inciting violence during the protest. These arrests are part of a broader crackdown to hold perpetrators accountable and restore peace in the region. Further investigative actions are currently underway to uncover the full extent of the network's involvement.
The authorities emphasize that such measures are crucial to deter future incidents and ensure public safety. The situation remains fluid, with police monitoring developments closely to respond promptly to any new threats.
