On Friday, the Chief Minister's Office made a significant announcement. They confirmed the appointment of advocate B G Harindranath as the special public prosecutor for this case. A formal notification regarding this appointment will be issued very soon, according to official statements.

The victim-nun spoke to reporters at Kuravilangad in Kottayam district. She revealed that she first learned about this crucial development through news reports. "I express my gratitude to the government, the chief minister, the media, and all media persons," she stated clearly.

She also acknowledged the widespread public support her cause has received. "Several people in society came out in support of us through a signature collection drive. This effort was to speed up our request, and I thank them all," the nun added, highlighting the collective push for justice.

Specific Request Fulfilled and Additional Support

The nun confirmed that a formal request had been submitted from their side. They specifically asked for advocate B G Harindranath to be appointed as the special public prosecutor. The government's decision directly fulfills this request.
