In a desperate attempt to escape, Gul ran to the room of her daughter-in-law, Lipi Mahakul. However, Ramesh followed her and reportedly assaulted Gul, Lipi, and his six-year-old granddaughter.
"They were bludgeoned to death by a heavy object," stated Deogarh SP Anik Kumar Mishra, highlighting the brutality of the crime. The bodies were recovered and sent for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
