Panic in Vadodara as Man Fires Four Shots After Fight

Panic erupted in the Kumbharwada locality of Vadodara on Friday morning when a man allegedly discharged four gunshots following a street argument. Law enforcement officials have taken four individuals into custody in connection with the event.

Incident Details

According to the police, Sufiyan Pathan, a resident of Panjighar Mohalla, is accused of opening fire after a confrontation with Sajid Sheikh. Sheikh's complaint filed at the Kumbharwada police station states that the incident unfolded early Friday as he was escorting a friend to Jamnabai Hospital due to chest pain.

Sequence of Events

Sheikh reported that he and another friend, Munaf Jilani, were en route to the hospital when two men—Sarfaraz Diwan and Wahab Abalkhan—spotted them and alerted Pathan. Pathan then arrived at the scene, resulting in a heated exchange. During the altercation, Pathan allegedly fired at Sheikh. Fortunately, Sheikh and his companions managed to escape unharmed.

Police Action

Authorities detained four men, including Pathan, in relation to the firing incident. Residents informed the police that the group had been causing disturbances in the area for several months. The investigation is currently ongoing.
