In a shocking incident in Patna, a 36-year-old man with a significant criminal history was shot dead in the Phulwarisharif area on Friday morning. The deceased, identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Mohan Yadav, was a native of Samanpura under the Naubatpur police station jurisdiction but was residing in a rented accommodation in Vikas Vihar Colony, which falls under the Phulwarisharif police station area.

According to police reports, the assailants targeted Sunil Kumar while he was standing in the Vikas Vihar Colony. City SP (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh stated, "The CCTV footage installed in the area is being thoroughly scanned to identify the attackers. Prima facie, it appears that Sunil was killed either for revenge or due to an old enmity. He had more than a dozen serious cases lodged against him, including charges of murder, dacoity, loot, and violations under the Arms Act."
