Patna Police Department Announces Major Promotions and Transfers
In a significant administrative move, the Patna police department has promoted four senior officers to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP). The official notification for these promotions was issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on Saturday, marking a key development in the state's law enforcement hierarchy.
Details of the Promoted Officers and Their New Roles
The promoted officers will now receive the full salary and benefits associated with the ASP rank, effective from the date they assume their new positions. This financial adjustment is part of the standard protocol for such promotions within the police force.
The list of promoted officers includes:
- Krishna Murari Prasad: Previously serving as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) for law and order in Patna. A 2013-batch officer, he had been posted in Patna for the past two years, following an earlier assignment in Nalanda.
- Sanjeet Kumar Prabhat: A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) who has been elevated to the ASP rank.
- Rajkumar Shah: Another DSP who has received the promotion to ASP.
- Sumit Kumar: Also a DSP promoted to the ASP rank, completing the quartet of officers moving up in the ranks.
Concurrent Transfers Within the Patna District
In addition to the promotions, the Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) has ordered the transfer of four police officers within the district. These transfers are aimed at optimizing police resources and ensuring effective law enforcement across various stations.
The transfer details are as follows:
- Sadanand Shah: The Station House Officer (SHO) of Fatuha police station has been transferred to the Police Lines.
- Kumar Roushan: Appointed as the new SHO of Fatuha police station, replacing Sadanand Shah.
- Kamlesh Raj: Assigned as the SHO of Sultanganj police station.
- Ravi Kant: Appointed as the ToP In-charge of Gulzar Bagh, taking on responsibilities in this key area.
