Newlywed Government Employee Vanishes in Patna
A young woman employed with the Bihar agriculture department has been reported missing under mysterious circumstances from the state capital, sending her family into a state of panic and triggering a police probe. Aryama Deepti, a Block Technology Manager posted at Athmalgola block in Patna, has been untraceable since the evening of December 26. The case has taken a poignant turn as it was revealed that she had entered into wedlock just 23 days prior to her disappearance.
Timeline of Disappearance and Family's Anguish
The last confirmed contact with Aryama was around 4 pm on Friday, December 26, when she spoke to her brother, Larkeshbar Narayan. Originally a resident of Hanuman Nagar in Patna, Aryama was living in a rented accommodation near Bakhtiyarpur Junction in the Barh sub-division at the time.
Her husband, Shubham Kumar, a chartered accountant based in Patna, expressed profound shock. He stated that their last conversation was until 2 pm on that fateful day. "I got busy with my work, and then at 4 pm, I received a call from her family that she was missing," Kumar recounted. He immediately tried calling her but found her phone switched off. After a night of frantic but futile searching, he formally lodged a missing person's report at the Bakhtiyarpur police station on Saturday morning.
Police Launch Intensive Investigation
The Bakhtiyarpur police have confirmed that an investigation is actively underway. Station House Officer (SHO) Devanand Sharma affirmed that the matter is being treated with utmost seriousness. Police teams are leaving no stone unturned, questioning Aryama's colleagues, friends, and family members to reconstruct her last known movements and activities.
"Additionally, CCTV footage from nearby areas, including her residence and workplace, is being examined for any clues," SHO Sharma added. Officers have also spoken to her neighbours at the rented accommodation in an effort to gather any potential leads that could shed light on her sudden vanishing.
The case of Aryama Deepti's disappearance has cast a shadow, highlighting concerns over the safety of women. As the police continue their search, her family and husband cling to hope for her safe and swift return.
