Pilibhit Road Accident: Speeding Car Claims Two Lives, Leaves Seven Critically Injured
A devastating road accident in Pilibhit district resulted in the deaths of a 14-year-old boy and a 60-year-old woman, with seven others, including four minors, sustaining critical injuries. The tragic incident occurred around 11:50 AM on Wednesday when a speeding car violently collided with an e-rickshaw near Birsinghpur village on the Bisalpur-Deoria road.
Details of the Collision and Immediate Aftermath
According to police reports, the e-rickshaw was transporting eight passengers from Babura village, under the jurisdiction of the Bilsanda police station, to the Ilabas Deval temple, which falls under the Deoria police station area. The head-on collision caused severe damage to both vehicles, leaving the scene in chaos.
Deoria Station House Officer Gautam Singh confirmed that the injured passengers and the e-rickshaw driver were rushed to the community health centre in Bisalpur. Tragically, Rahul Kumar (14) and Jashoda Devi (60) were declared dead upon arrival at the medical facility.

The seven individuals who suffered critical injuries in the accident have been identified as:

In a swift response, local residents apprehended the car driver at the scene and handed him over to the authorities. Police noted that two passengers traveling in the car managed to escape unharmed. The vehicle involved has been seized by law enforcement, and an FIR is pending once a formal written complaint is submitted.
