Tragic Accidents in Pilibhit Claim Two Lives, Leave Family Critically Injured
In a heartbreaking series of events, two separate road accidents in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left a family critically injured on Friday evening. The incidents have highlighted ongoing concerns about road safety in the region.
First Accident: Family Wedding Invitation Trip Turns Deadly
The first tragedy occurred near the Khannaut river bridge on the Bilsanda-Bisalpur road. Rajkumar, a 20-year-old man, was riding a motorcycle with his mother, Varna Devi, 43, and his nine-year-old brother, Rajnand. They were on their way to distribute wedding invitations for Rajkumar's sister when their motorcycle became trapped between two tractor-trolleys coming from opposite directions.
Bilsanda Station House Officer Siddhant Sharma reported that all three victims were rushed to a community health centre. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were later referred to the district hospital in Pilibhit. Tragically, Rajkumar succumbed to his injuries during the transfer. His mother and younger brother remain in critical condition, fighting for their lives.
Second Incident: Farmer Killed by Unidentified Vehicle
Later that night, in a separate accident, Nanhe Lal, a 50-year-old farmer and resident of Sikrahna village under Ghungchai police station, lost his life. He was returning home from Balrampur village when his motorcycle was struck by an unidentified vehicle on the Puranpur-Banda road near a brick kiln in Jamunia village.
Ghungchai Station House Officer Jai Shankar Singh stated that Nanhe Lal was immediately taken to the community health centre in Puranpur. Upon arrival, doctors declared him dead, indicating the impact was fatal. Authorities are investigating the incident to identify the vehicle involved, which fled the scene.
