A thorough search conducted in the presence of a woman constable led to the recovery of approximately 12 grams of heroin. Consequently, a case was registered under the NDPS Act against Lali, marking a significant step in curbing local drug distribution networks.

Major Interceptions Based on Intelligence Inputs

In another major operation driven by specific intelligence inputs, the police intercepted two trucks near a checkpoint, leading to the arrest of three individuals: Manjit Singh, Sarbjit Singh, and Ranjit Singh. During the search, authorities recovered around 10 kilograms of poppy husk, with 5 kilograms seized from each vehicle. Both trucks were confiscated, and further investigations have been initiated to trace the source and intended distribution network of this contraband, highlighting the police's proactive approach in dismantling larger trafficking rings.

Continued Vigilance and Additional Arrests

The crackdown continued with the arrest of Jauna Singh from the Subhanpur area, where 6 grams of heroin were recovered during routine patrolling. In a separate incident, Simranjit Singh, alias Manna, was arrested near a hospital road with 57 intoxicating tablets and 1,400 Pregabalin capsules, underscoring the diverse nature of narcotics being targeted.

Another significant seizure occurred when two individuals, Malkit Singh, alias Banga, and Jaspal Singh, alias Vicky, were intercepted while traveling on a motorcycle. A search led to the recovery of approximately 220 grams of heroin from their possession, and the motorcycle used in the incident was also seized, demonstrating the police's effectiveness in disrupting mobile drug operations.

Further Arrests and Legal Actions

In Kapurthala, a woman identified as Sandeep Kaur was arrested after police recovered 120 intoxicating tablets from her during a routine patrol operation. The police confirmed that all accused individuals have been booked under the NDPS Act, ensuring strict legal proceedings against them.
