In a significant anti-drug operation, the Special Crime Unit (SCU) of the Bhubaneswar police have successfully seized 370 grams of brown sugar and apprehended three suspects, as confirmed by authorities on Saturday. The accused have been identified as Sameer Khan alias Muna, 44, Sk Irsad Mohammad alias Surya, 23, and Munaf Khan alias Mona, 22. All three are residents of Balasore district, highlighting the cross-district nature of the alleged criminal activities. Police officials emphasized that the arrests were made following a thorough investigation into their backgrounds and movements.

"After tracking the suspects, the team intercepted them near Shyama Shyam Dham Road, close to Doordarshan Kendra, under Saheed Nagar police station limits, where they allegedly gathered to conduct an illegal narcotics transaction," stated Police Commissioner S Dev Datta Singh. The team acted swiftly to seize the 370 grams of brown sugar from the accused during the interception.
