A policeman was discovered dead on Friday morning in the Padmanagar area of Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh. The deceased has been identified as Ansingh Nargave, a constable serving in the state police force.
Discovery of the Body
Passersby on the Indore highway noticed a body hanging from a tree opposite Balaji Dham Colony and immediately alerted local authorities. Police personnel arrived at the scene and, upon searching a bag found near the site, identified the man as a resident of Murari village in Barwani district.
Details of the Deceased
Nargave was posted in Rewa district and was currently serving at Garh police station. According to Padmanagar police station in-charge Jagdish Jamre, initial inquiries with Rewa police revealed that Nargave had taken five days of leave starting Tuesday to visit his hometown in Barwani.
Investigation Underway
Police have secured the body for postmortem examination and informed his family members in Barwani. “We have summoned his relatives to Khandwa for questioning. We will also coordinate with Rewa Police to determine if there were any professional or personal issues that he faced,” said TI Jamre.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities exploring all possible angles, including personal and professional stressors that may have led to the incident.
