The arrested individual has been identified as Vikas Pal, a resident of Kareli near Arail road in Prayagraj. During the operation, authorities recovered a substantial 52 kilograms of illegal ganja from his possession. In addition to the drugs, the police also seized one car, one mobile phone, and Rs 400 in cash. The total estimated value of the seized ganja is Rs 26 lakhs, marking this as a high-value drug bust in the region.

Vikas Pal has been formally charged under sections 8, 20, 29, and 60 of the NDPS Act, which pertain to the possession, sale, and conspiracy related to narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. During interrogation, Pal revealed crucial information to the police. He stated that a man based in Kaushambi had handed over the car containing the drugs to him. According to his confession, the consignment was intended to be delivered in Koraon, indicating a planned distribution network.
