Prayagraj Officials Conduct Rigorous Inspections During Police Recruitment Exams
On the concluding day of the written examination for recruiting 4,543 sub-inspector (civil police) and equivalent positions under the Uttar Pradesh Direct Recruitment-2025 initiative, top police and administrative authorities in Sangam city were highly vigilant. District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma led a team of officials in conducting surprise inspections at several examination centers, including Agrasen Inter College and Government Girls Inter College, to ensure the integrity of the process.
Ensuring a Transparent and Secure Examination Process
The inspections were meticulously planned to guarantee the safe, uninterrupted, impartial, cheat-free, and transparent conduct of the examinations. These tests were organized by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board based in Lucknow, aiming to fill crucial positions within the state police force. During the inspections, District Magistrate Verma issued strict directives to all involved officials, emphasizing the need for absolute adherence to established protocols.
Key instructions included:
- Directing sector magistrates, static magistrates, center superintendents, and assistant center superintendents to execute their duties with a high sense of responsibility and sensitivity.
- Ensuring 100% compliance with prescribed guidelines to maintain a secure and transparent examination environment.
- Instructing sector magistrates to remain mobile within their assigned sectors throughout the examination to oversee proceedings actively.
- Mandating that all confidential materials be deposited into double-lock custody under police protection immediately after the exam, following specified routes.
Surveillance and Monitoring Enhance Exam Integrity
In addition to these measures, District Magistrate Verma personally inspected the CCTV control rooms established at the examination centers. He observed the real-time monitoring conducted through surveillance cameras, which played a critical role in maintaining vigilance and preventing any malpractices. This technological oversight complemented the physical presence of officials, creating a robust framework for exam security.
The examination was conducted in two sessions across 43 centers in the Prayagraj district, with an impressive turnout of 53,760 registered candidates. The large scale of the recruitment drive underscored the importance of these inspections, as they aimed to uphold fairness and transparency in selecting candidates for vital law enforcement roles. The proactive approach by officials reflects a commitment to ensuring that the recruitment process is free from irregularities, thereby bolstering public trust in the system.
