Prayagraj Police Make Breakthrough in Property Dealer Murder Investigation
In a significant development, the Prayagraj city police announced on Thursday that they have obtained crucial leads regarding the brutal killing of a 45-year-old property dealer. The victim was fatally shot by four unidentified assailants in the Gaus Nagar area late on Wednesday night.
Police Identify All Four Suspects
A senior police official revealed to the media that investigators have successfully determined the identities of all four gunmen involved in the shooting. Five specialized police teams have been immediately deployed with the explicit mission of apprehending the suspects and bringing them to justice.
Motive Traced to Long-Standing Land Dispute
The official further disclosed that the murder appears to be the result of a deep-seated, old enmity. The victim, identified as Mohd Irfan from Enuddinpur, was allegedly targeted over a contentious piece of land. Family members of the deceased have specifically named two individuals—Rashid and his brother Asif Durani—as being involved in the dispute. They assert that Irfan had an ongoing conflict with these individuals regarding land ownership, which ultimately escalated into violence.
Intensive Manhunt Underway
The police are now conducting an intensive manhunt across the region. The formation of five dedicated teams underscores the seriousness with which authorities are treating this case. The investigation is focused on gathering forensic evidence, witness testimonies, and corroborating the alleged land dispute motive to build a strong legal case.
This incident has heightened concerns about property-related violence in the area, prompting calls for increased security measures. The police have assured the public and the victim's family that they are committed to a swift resolution and will leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of the perpetrators.
