Prayagraj has demonstrated a strong performance in the disposal of revenue-related cases, securing the second position in the state. According to the report released by the Revenue Court Computerized Management System (RCCMS) in April, the Sangam city disposed of the second highest number of cases in Uttar Pradesh.
State Rankings
The state capital, Lucknow, topped the list with 18,861 cases disposed of, the highest figure across the state. Barabanki ranked third with 9,139 cases disposed of during the same period.
District Magistrate's Statement
District Magistrate of Prayagraj, Manish Kumar Verma, stated, "During the specific period, Prayagraj has disposed of a total of 12,036 cases and earned the second rank in the state." He further emphasized that in alignment with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's directives, the swift and transparent disposal of revenue cases is being accorded the highest priority.
Regular review meetings are being conducted to ensure the time-bound resolution of public grievances, and pending cases in revenue courts are being cleared through dedicated special drives, the DM added.
Focus on Efficiency
The achievement reflects the district's commitment to improving administrative efficiency and reducing the backlog of revenue cases. The RCCMS report highlights the effectiveness of ongoing efforts to streamline case management and enhance transparency in the revenue court system.
